hate to do thos because all the fighters I will mention were great in their time and really shouldn't be compared. However, I found this website on Marciano's life and boxing accomplishments(don't remember the name of it). The information on it is really good but there was this section where the owner of the site predicted the oucomes of fights between Marciano and other great heavyweights in history. This person said that Marciano would have knocked out Tyson after round 5, Foreman around round 8, and would have also beaten decisively guys like Dempsey, Ali, Frazier, Liston, etc. I think Marciano was a truly powerful fighter but I highly doubt he would have survived more than three rounds with guys like Liston, Tyson, or Foreman. Rocky was so much smaller than these guys, they would have damn near killed him. I agree with his outcome on the fight against Dempsey, but I highly disagree he would have beaten Ali. Ali's speed and style would have given him so much problems; Rocky had great stamina but I still think Ali would have stopped him in the late rounds or the fight would have been stopped on cuts(Rocky cut up easily and we know Ali's punches were extremely sharp). Has anyone seen that computer fight between them? The fight was staged and filmed when Marciano was in his forties and Ali had been banned from boxing for not participating in the draft.I read a little about it. Marciano had to drop weight and wear a wig to seem like his old self while Ali looked a little overweight. They filmed these two guys fighting some one minute rounds and filmed about 20 possible endings. A computer chose the ending based on the stats of both fighters. The ending was a KO victory for Marciano. Ali supposedly laughed at the chosen ending and called the stupid computer defective, however him and Marciano had a great time filming it and became friends. Has anyone seen it? How good or realistic is it?
If they were to just take the Marciano from the 1950's and plant him in the ring with some of the all time greats like Ali, Foreman, Frazier or Tyson I think he would lose because of how far training and dieting has evolved over the years.
However, if he was around fighting at the same time as the boxers mentioned above, I think he would certainly hold his own.
One things for certain, they would be some cracking battles!
I think it's very likely that Foreman would have taken care of Marciano like he took care of Frazier if they had meet, both in their prime. Frazier to had heart and never gave up but Foreman was just to big and strong.
I think Ali would take Marciano to but it wouldn't be an easy fight.
By the way, I think this is the site you're referring to.

I've noticed it's easy to safe on paper, that one guys beats another. I've seen alot of these "comparing the champions" pages, where some fan of a certain fighter shows that there is no way anyone could have beaten him.
I think sometimes people get hung up on the height-weight too much. Who cares if he's small, it never stopped him from winning, and he was still strong as a bull.
Also, I kind of think that anyone who couldn't KO Marciano in the first 4 rounds or so would lose to him, only a huge slugger would beat him. If it starts to go past 10, then assuming a 15 round fight, his stamina would become the insurmountable advantage that Rocky intended it to be.
The problem is that there's no way to beat a guy if he can hit extremely hard, take all your punches, and never gets tired or discouraged. Think of all the times you've seen a fighter get tired in a fight, then just imagine if his opponent launched a huge attack.
The more I think about this the more Rocky Marciano becomes my favorite fighter.
Frazier was scared when he fought Foreman, scared enough to try and come in heavier instead of his prime weight - 205. An unafraid Frazier would have at least lasted longer against Foreman. Marciano wasn't afraid of any fighter, he was afraid of losing
Rocky Marciano is my favorite fighter, but I think George Foreman probably would have done the same thing to him as he did to Joe Frazier. I do think that Marciano would have beaten Ali. It's a styles thing. Frazier gave Ali hell and Marciano is basically Frazier only tougher, stronger, better stamina, and better punching power.
I think I've seen it once in an Ali biography and it looked like completly fake. I wouldn't believe that Ali would go to war at an old man out of shape. Wasn't quite his style was it?
The owner of site seems to be a hardcore Marciano fan. The results he predicted are complete bullshit in my eyes, but he has every right to be subjective if he puts work in a site that helps boxing fans getting information.
