UFC superstar Ronda Rousey created a lot of enemies over the last two years, in boxing and Mixed Martial Arts.
She has no bigger rival in MMA than Miesha Tate, who faced Rousey twice (and lost both fights).
Tate was hosting a UFC 193 party in Las Vegas and was overjoyed with Holly Holm's shocking upset victory.
There was some controversy over Saturday's fight between Rousey and Holm, because Tate won an eliminator and was promised the trilogy fight with Rousey.
Instead, the UFC made an unexpected decision to bypass Tate and booked Rousey against Holm.
Holm (10-0 in MMA, 33-2-3, 9KOs in boxing), a former multi-champion in boxing who made the full switch to MMA in 2013, made history by becoming the first fighter to win world titles in boxing and the UFC. She handed Rousey (12-1) her first defeat with a vicious leg kick in the second round of their UFC bantamweight title from Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
Tate, who may be in line to face Holm next, had no problem with throwing some venom in Rousey's direction.
“I’m f***ing stoked. F*** Ronda Rousey. “F*** her and her 'nobody has the right to beat me.’ Nobody has the right to beat you? Well you just got beat, b*tch. Anyways, I’m proud of Holly. She had a perfect, flawless game plan. She came in with it and now she is the champion,” Tate told MMA News Source.
