2016 Mexican Olympian and unbeaten junior featherweight Lindolfo Delgado 24-0 (16 KOs), has risen to No.1 in the WBO’s latest rankings, making him their mandatory for champion Shakur Stevenson. Delgado now holds the top position in the WBO and IBF rankings at 140 lbs.
Japanese featherweight Ryota Muto, 10-1-1 (6 KOs), has been designated the top contender at featherweight, making him the mandatory to face champion Rafael Espinoza. Muto knocked out former leading contender Kenji Fujita on May 6.
Also, at junior lightweight, Manila's Carl Jammes Martin, 28-0 (21 KOs), leads the way as mandatory to unified champion Naoya Inoue. Formerly ranked second, Martin leapfrogged over Junto Nakatani who lost to Inoue in early May.
