Former middleweight champion Felix Sturm (37-4-2, 16 KOs) is planning to pursue another world crown at 160-pounds, before considering the possibility of a move to super middleweight. Sturm has lost his last two bouts at 160, both decisions, to Daniel Geale and Sam Soliman. He feels the loss to Soliman was a robbery. Sturm, a former WBO and two-time WBA champion, wants a fourth title at 160 and is confident of being able to beat any boxer at the weight.
"The judges' decision was a bad joke. I was convinced that I won. After the fight, I got a lot of text messages and e-mails from abroad with questions - "what's going on?' Someone seems to be working against me. When [Soliman] heard the verdict, even he couldn't even believe it. It's funny that in Germany decisions are made against me," Sturm said.
"This is a difficult time for me, but I will find the right course for my path. I want to win the [middleweight] title for the fourth time. I can beat anyone in the world at middleweight. Maybe one day I will go to a higher division, but so far I plan to remain at middleweight."
