WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28KOs) has advised Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1KO) to stay focused on their March 1st encounter in San Antonio, Texas. Lomachenko, a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, will attempt to win a world championship in his second professional contest. During the last few weeks, there has been a lot of discussion regarding a potential future fight between Lomachenko and another two-time Olympic gold medal winner, Guillermo Rigondeaux (13-0, 8KOs).

"They better be more concerned with March 1 in San Antonio. He better remember what happened at the Alamo. He can bring his great all-time amateur record and his two gold medals, and I will bring my three world title belts. He was a great amateur and that's a nice thing, but I am the WBO world champion. And on March 1 I will still be a three time world champion and Lomenchenko will still be a great amateur," Salido stated.
