Former WBO junior flyweight champion Hugo Cazares (30-6, 22KOs) is preparing to travel to Japan to challenge WBA super flyweight champion Nobuo Nashiro (13-1, 8KOs) on September 30 in Osaka. Cazarez has been training in Los Mochis, Mexico. He made his way to Mexico City to get his visa in order to travel out to Japan.

Cazares will have a lot of support. He says countrymen Cristian Mijares and Fernando Montiel plan to be there to support his title challenge. Cazarez is tough, handing Ivan Calderon two tough fights but losing both times on the cards. Nashiro's only loss was by way of decision to Alexander Munos in 2007.

"I am confident of victory. I hope to impose my experience as a professional because Nobou only has 14 fights, and I have 37 fights. Age is not a factor because he is 27 and I'm 31. I am convinced that I have the style to beat him. I feel like I can continue to fight among the best for another three to four years," Cazarez said to ESTO.
