During his rounds in New York City, former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs) visited a Bronx police station on Satrurday, to pay his respects to a slain NYPD cop.

Mayweather went to the 46 Precinct’s station and posed for a photo in front of a portrait honoring murdered 48-year-old  police officer Miosotis Familia

On July 5th, The mother of three was shot by a gunman with a history of mental illness. She was attacked while inside a mobile police command vehicle in Fordham Heights. Not far from where the incident took place, cops shot and killed Alexander Bonds, the 34-year-old gunman.

Last week, Mayweather took part in a four city, three country media tour to promote next month's boxing match with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

The contest is scheduled to take place on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Showtime Pay-Per-View carrying the fight.

Mayweather retired back in September 2015 and at 40-years-old he announced his return after two years of inactivity. McGregor appears to be a very safe bet for a ring return. The athlete is on most MMA pound-for-pound lists, but he's never had a professional boxing match.

The contest takes place at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds, with 10 ounce gloves being used an strict contractual restrictions which prohibit McGregor from using any illegal and/or MMA moves inside the ring - or he faces a significant fine if those terms are violated.
