Like most others, WBC Floyd Mayweather Jr. expects Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) vs. Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) to end by knockout. Garcia will defend his WBC/WBA 140-pound title against Matthysse on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The main event that evening will feature Mayweather moving up to a catch-weight of 152-pounds to face WBC/WBA champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
Mayweather won't reveal his official pick to win, but predicts one of them will be laid out.
"Both fighters are tough. Both fighter are power punchers and both of them are Al Haymon fighters. If you're in sports and you don't have [adviser/manager] Al Haymon on your team, you don't have the right guy on your team. I can't see that fight going the distance. I can't really see that fight going the distance. They are both training very hard and dedicating themselves," Mayweather said.
