Junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) is not paying any attention to the antics of Angel Garcia, father and trainer of WBC/WBA champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs). Matthysse faces Danny on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The main event will feature Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Anglel has called Matthysse "an ordinary fighter" and said there is "nothing special" about him.

"I'm not worried about anything that his father says. He can say whatever he wants, but he can't help [his son] in the ring. In the ring, it will only be myself and Danny Garcia. They are worried. That's why they are doing so much talking. I'm not worried about any of [those comments they are making]. I'm going in there to do my job and win," Matthysse said.
