The original plan was to have the lightweight unification bout between Vasyl Lomachenko and Jose Pedraza take place on December 1st at the  Forum in Inglewood, California.

Now, it could be moved back a week and to the East Coast.

"That's going to be tossed around, right now it's scheduled for December 1st. However it may very well be for ESPN reasons moved to December 8th in New York,"explained Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank, to BoxingScene.com. ESPN wants a strong as show as possible to follow their Heisman Trophy Presentation broadcast.

Last year on December 9th, Lomachenko faced Guillermo Rigondeaux in this slot from the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

But Arum made it clear that they will have ESPN shows on both December 1st and the 8th.

Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs) was in action back in May, when he stopped Jorge Linares to capture the WBA lightweight title. The win made Lomachenko a three division world champion after capturing titles at featherweight and super featherweight.

Last month, Pedraza (25-1, 12 KOs) became a two division champion when he shocked Ray Beltran, with a knockdown in the championship rounds to clinch the twelve round unanimous decision. Mikey Garcia holds the two other world titles at 135-pounds, under the WBC and IBF.

The veteran promoter also mentioned that the November 3rd bout between WBC 130-pound titlist, Miguel Berchelt and Miguel Roman is headed to El Paso, Texas at the Don Haskins Center.
