Last weekend, former four division world champion Adrien Broner stopped Ashley Theophane in the ninth round of their Premier Boxing Champions [PBC] televised bout from Washington, DC.
Following the fight, Broner challenged his former friend, Floyd Mayweather Jr., to a fight.
Mayweather, who promotes Theophane, was trading words with Broner for the last couple of months.
Mayweather retired from the ring last September after raising his record to 49-0 with a twelve round unanimous decision over former welterweight champipn Andre Berto.
According to the former five division world champion, there is no interest in coming back to the ring.
Trainer Jeff Mayweather, who is Floyd's uncle, says his nephew will never provide Broner with the opportunity to make a multi-million dollar payday by fighting him in a major pay-per-view event.
Jeff expects his nephew to stay retired - and if he does decide to come back it won't be against Broner.
"Of course not. The one thing he’s not going to do, he’s not going to allow Adrien Broner to bring him out of retirement and make money off of him. That’s the one thing, Floyd’s not going to allow Adrien Broner to make anywhere from eight to ten million dollars off of him, he’s not going to do it. Everybody that knows anything about boxing knows that realistically Adrien Broner has no chance anyways, so what’s the point of it? If he loses to Floyd, so what? Everybody else did to," Jeff told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
