Former two division world champion David Haye (27-2, 25KOs) has urged his countryman, Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (15-0, 15KOs), to go for the kill very early he takes on IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin on April 9th at the O2 Arena in London.

Joshua recently conducted an interview with Sky Sports where he called for a future fight with Haye, which was music to the boxer's ears.

Haye taped a video response to Joshua, pleading with him to forget about a boxing match and to come in swinging for Martin's head.

"Get this one out of the way early," said Haye. "I heard you do an interview saying you are going to box him - don't do that, please for me. Please don't. If you get into a boxing match with a southpaw boxer he's got more experience than you in boxing like that. You've got more experienced in punching peoples head's in and knocking them out."

"That's what you've got to stick to. Don't try and learn something different for this one, just get in there rough him up early, just get him off his game and blast him out early. You can do it mate, you big old lump. You can do it, I am behind you, the whole of Britain is behind you. Get this IBF title then we can make it happen."

Haye, who finally returned to the sport in January with an easy first round knockout of Mark DeMori, is coming back to the ring in May and wants to have at least two more fights this year. He hopes to get Joshua this year.

"Good to know Anthony Joshua is kind of calling me out," Haye said. "It's all about him fighting Charles Martin on April 9. It's going to be a great fight. I'm looking forward to it, its on Sky Sports Box Office, so tune in then, afterwards, who knows?"
