Tyson Fury has indicated once more that he will box again.
The former heavyweight champion, who has regularly posted training and running videos on his social media since his last fight, a decision defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch to the Ukrainian great last December.
Fury, 34-2-1 (24 KOs), turned 37 last August and has lost his last two bouts, both to Usyk and both by decision.
"2026 is that year, Return of The Mac,” Fury wrote on his Instagram. “Been away for a while but I'm back now, 37 years old and still punching, nothing better to do than punch men in the face and get paid for it."
On New Year’s Day, Fury posted pictures of people wearing Team Fury shirts with “I’m back” across them and “incoming. Let’s have the best year ever.”
On December 7, he posted a cartoon image with the words “the king must return to his throne.”
Fury is also currently out in Thailand training alongside his friend, and former bridgerweight champion, Kevin Lerena. The southpaw posted videos of him sparring Fury in a gym in Payatta, Thailand.
Fury said last year, whilst attending an IBA event in Turkey, that he would only return for a trilogy with Usyk, believing he had won both of their previous encounters, and for a long-awaited dustup with fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua.
There was speculation that 2026 would see Fury finally face Joshua, but Joshua’s future is more uncertain as he first must cope with the tragic loss of two of his closest friends.
