Abel Sanchez, trainer of IBO/WBA/WBC/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs), says the upcoming defense against Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is a completely difference fight from the May encounter between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Amir Khan.

Khan, who is Brook's domestic rival, moved up by eight pounds, to a catch-weight of 155, to challenge Canelo for the WBC middleweight title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He did very well until Canelo brutally knocked him out in the sixth round.

Now Brook - the current IBF champion at 147-pounds - is heading up by thirteen pounds to challenge Golovkin.

Golovkin vs. Brook takes place at the O2 Arena in London on September 10th. HBO will handle the TV in the United States and Sky Box Office has the rights in the UK.

While many fans and critics are comparing Golovkin-Brook to Canelo-Khan - Sanchez explained why the two fights are completely different when comparing the records of Brook and Khan. Sanchez believes Brook - who is very big at 147 - will become a better fighter with the added weight.

"The difference is, Khan was a lightweight who got knocked out by Breidis Prescott at 135-pounds, and the was knocked out by Danny Garcia at 140-pounds, and then everybody that he fought after that hurt him. That's the first difference," Sanchez told BoxingScene.com.

"The second difference, Kell Brook is a welterweight and he's always been a welterweight. He's an undefeated champion. He's having the same issues that we're having with securing a fight - against anybody. he's a totally different fighter."

"A lot of times these guys are sacrificing themselves to make weight and become better fighters when they move up because they kill themselves. I just have to assume that with thirteen more pounds that he's going to be a better fighter."
