In the wake of Gennady Golovkin's latest middleweight destruction, an eight round stoppage of David Lemieux in front of a capacity crowd of over 20,500 at the Madison Square Garden in New York, the question is what new frontiers will K2 Promotions and 'GGG' try and conquer moving forward?
Traditionally in the early part of the year that have touched down in Monte Carlo but the truth is that they may have out-grown the small room of the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco. Will they take this traveling road show to another part of Europe?
"I don't know about Europe but we'll definitely have to see who the winner is November( between Miguel Cotto and Saul Alvarez) and we have to see what the winner does," explained Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions.
The WBC has mandated that the winner of that above-mentioned bout must face Golovkin or risk being stripped of that title.
But as for where we might see Golovkin in 2016, Loeffler stated - "Clearly there's a lot of markets, that's another great thing about Gennady is he doesn't care where he fights. We've had a lot of fans reach out to us from Texas, when we're going to bring him to San Antonio, Dallas."
OK, so is that a promise to bring 'GGG' to 'the Lone Star State'?
"I can promise you if 'Canelo' agrees to fight Gennady, Gennady would be happy to go to Texas to fight him," said Loeffler.
