Most experts who pick Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31KOs) to upset WBA welterweight champion Adrien Broner (27-0, 22KOs) - are picking the Argentine puncher to win by knockout.  Maidana will challenge Broner for his championship on December 14th, as part of a Showtime televised quadrupleheader from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

After watching Broner have some struggles against Paulie Malignaggi in June, when Broner moved up by two weight divisions, Maidana's Oxnard-based trainer, Robert Garcia, says Maidana is very capable of outworking Broner to win a twelve round decision.

"I don't think the fight is easy, but we know we can do and we will do our best to win this fight. Broner is not invincible. The knockout is not the only option for Maidana. Broner does not throw a lot of punches. Paul Malignaggi won a few rounds because Broner did not throw much. We have to be active, target the body and win the fight round by round. The impact of [Maidana's] punches will be stronger [than those of Malignaggi]. But, [Maidana] can win can win [this fight by] throwing a lot of punches," Garcia said.
