Former two division champion David Haye is very familiar with the combatants for this Saturday highly anticipated heavyweight clash.

Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko will meet in the ring before a record crowd of 90,000 at Wembley to battle for the IBF, IBO, WBA world titles.

Back in 2011, Haye lost a wide twelve round decision to Klitschko in a one-sided affair. The British boxer has known Joshua since he was an amateur.

Klitschko, 41, is the biggest test in Joshua's young career. After 18 pro fights, his biggest wins came against Dominic Breazeale and Dillian Whyte.

Some believe Klitschko is a step too far at this point, but Haye feels the timing is perfect, because Klitschko is coming back after a long layoff and a loss. Klitschko lost a twelve round decision to Tyson Fury in November 2015 in a major upset.

Haye believes Klitschko is finished as a top fighter and he predicts Joshua is likely going to blast him out.

"I think timing is everything, particularly in boxing, and there is an old saying that rings true: you are only as good as your last fight. And for Wladimir Klitschko, his last fight was a humiliating defeat to Tyson Fury. It was a performance so bad, in my opinion it was the worst of his career – I think he actually fought better in the fights he got knocked out in, than he did against Fury," Haye told GQ Magazine.

"Added to that, by the time he gets in the ring with Anthony Joshua, he won’t have had a competitive fight in 18 months and the guy will be 41. Really, that makes him the perfect opponent for Anthony Joshua. On paper, Klitschko is one of the all-time great heavyweights, but the reality is he’s finished. I expect Joshua to really shine and confirm himself as the best heavyweight in the world."

"I think there is a very strong possibility of [Joshua knocking Klitschko out]. He is so much younger than Klitschko. So much more athletic. He is a big, strong guy who has a 100 percent knockout ratio, and he can match Klitschko for size – it’s just perfect timing for Anthony."
