Welterweight contender "Bam Bam" Brandon Rios (33-2-1) plans on using his November 7th showdown against Tim Bradley to prove that he is still at the top of his game.
"(I'm going to show) that I'm back. I haven't gone nowhere. Just like in the Alvarado fight. I have that hunger and motivation and it will show," said Rios.
Bradley-Rios will be televised by HBO and takes place at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
WBA "regular" welterweight champion Keith Thurman recently made waves when he dismissed the Bradley-Rios fight by saying that Rios isn't a top welterweight.
When made aware of Thurman's comments, Rios brushed them off and made the following statement:
"Everybody was saying Thurman was saying this and that. F*** it. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. You never know. We may fight in the future. Who has he fought? Who has he fought with a big name?," Rios old BoxingScene.com.
"Guerrero? Yeah Guerrero has been in there with Mayweather, so what had Thurman done to deserve a fight with Guerrero? See, I can say that too. I don't give a sh*t. He can say what he wants. Maybe we will meet in future. You never know
