In less than two weeks, Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) will defend his WBC/WBA junior welterweight titles against mandatory challenger Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) of Argentina at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Danny's father and trainer, Angel Garcia, is not worried about Matthysse's reputation of being a murderous puncher. Angel says his son will be capable of taking the punches that are going to be planted by Matthysse, but the controversial trainer is not convinced that Matthysse will be capable of taking Danny's punches.

"My job is not to worry about Matthysse. I'm not worried.' I'm not scared. The only person I fear is God. On September 14, Matthysse will get his ass whipped. Me and Danny don't worry about what the world says. In the fight, I think Matthysse going to come out and look for Danny's head like a killer, but he ain't no killer. I know that Danny has a good chin because Danny's chin has been tested many times. Not once, but a lot of times his jaw has been tested. Matthysse's [jaw] never been tested because he fought people where he was supposed to win. Danny has beaten people that he was supposed to lose to. That's the difference between the champion and the opponent," Angel was quoted by Carlos Irusta.
