Well he kind of is a hybrid ofthe three. Just a crappier version. Dude is a tall freak like Hearns. Has a good chin and pressures like a poor version of JCC. And throws as many as Calzaghe. I do not think max was saying that he is as good as these three guys in one, but rather that he possesses their characteristics.

He specifically said, He have the length and Power of a Tommy Hearns the Work rate and stamina of Joe Calzaghe and the inside fighting and Body punching of JCC.

He said Paul Williams is as good of a body puncher as JCC was!!!!!

that's something that most elite fighters dont do...to gradually improve and add to the arsenal...its a testament to him willing to learn and to roach who made him buy in to his vision

As I said in another thread. JMM is the most skilled fighter alive right now IMO. I have watched boxing for 35 years now and very few fighters could put punches together like he can. Not only in combination, but with incredible timing and placement.

There are fighters that can beat him, but mainly when they have a distinct advantage with Punch Output, Speed, Power or now Size. Some are just a bad style matchup for him. Manny and JMM are bad style matchups for each other.

If JMM was a natural welterweight, other welters would avoid him like the plague.

Floyd should display his so called skills against the elite like JMM is doing, instead of fighting the Hattons and Zab Judahs of the world. I lose respect for Floyd since he became a WW.

i personally dont think cotto is as skilled, he's a very good fighter no doubt but P4P marquez beats the hell out of him.

I'm a cotto fan and i agree that cotto is not as skilled as JMM but don't think that JMM beats cotto. Not going to put JMM with cotto or hopkins or margarito or paul williams or clottey. JMM is very good for his weight class and below.

JMM has tremendous skill, he just lacks in the physical department. He wasn't blessed with speed or tremendous power, his chin isn't so good either. He just has tons of skill. He trains very hard to.

If Floyd loses even a fraction of what he once had or his timing is off, he is screwed. JMM has always been able to deal with speed but if Floyd runs it could make it a boring UD for Floyd.

Nobody is as skilled as JMM skillwise. Nobody can put punches together like him. His accuracy and punch selection is on a level of its own.

Many will scream that he is not as skilled as Floyd. Well yes he is. Floyd is defensively better but that is as far as it goes.
