Vargas: If No GGG Trilogy, I'd Like Canelo vs. Charlo, Saunders

By Ryan Burton and other members of the media caught up with former two-division champion Jessie Vargas shortly after Canelo Alvarez won a majority decision over Gennady Golovkin at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As he has done in recent years, the 29-year-old provided expert commentary for the HBO Spanish broadcast of the pay-per-view event.

From his ringside seat he saw a close fight and said that he wouldn't mind to see a trilogy bout. If a third fight doesn't happen immediately, Vargas said that there are several other attractive options for Canelo.

"I would like to see it again but if it doesn't happen a fight against Billy Joe Saunders sounds good and you got Demetrius Andrade. You also have Daniel Jacobs and (Jermall) Charlo. Those are fights that can be made. It is just a matter of the promoters working together," Vargas stated.

Vargas is currently in the middle of his training camp for his October 6th showdown against Thomas Dulorme that will be the first DAZN event to take place on American soil.

Earlier this year Vargas battled Adrien Broner to a draw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.  He expects another action packed fight against Puerto Rico's Dulorme.

"Training camp is coming along great. We are about three weeks away and we are going to give the fans what they want to see. It is Mexico versus Puerto Rico. It is that major rivalry that always brings action and that is what we are going to do," Vargas told

Vargas-Dulorme takes place October 6th at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL. the entire fight card will be streamed on DAZN.  Some of the other fights include WBA super bantamweight champion Danny Roman against Gavin McDonnell, Artur Beterbiev defending his IBF light heavyweight title against Callum Johnson and a heavyweight clash between Jarrell Miller and Tomasz Adamek.
I wasn't aware he retired.... Jacobs fight I had Golovkin winning by a twat hair. The Vanes fight was hardly even a sparring session and I openly criticized it. The Canelo rematch could've went either way.
even Abel Sanchez admitted…
I will remember that, because I think the WBC are about to mandate Charlo I will just add that to his list
Hope that fight happens. It'll be a great fight that either fighter can win but I'm taking Canelo!
