Undefeated Australian star Tim Tszyu is hoping that one day he will secure the opportunity to step in the ring with Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

At the moment the two boxers are two divisions apart, but Tszyu expects his body to eventually develop to the point where he's competing at 168-pounds.

Tszyu (19-0, 15 KOs) is currently the WBO's top junior middleweight contender and is likely going to land a mandatory shot at world champion Brian Castano in 2022.

The Aussie fighter is scheduled to see action on November 17, when he takes on Takeshi Inoue.

Canelo is back in the ring on Saturday night, when he face Caleb Plant in a full division unification at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The WBC, IBF, WBA, WBO world titles will be at stake.

In sizing up Canelo, Tszyu believes there are certain things that he can exploit if the two ever met in the ring.

“Canelo does a lot of things very well but there is no such thing as a perfect boxer. He’s beatable and I’d love the opportunity to take a fight against someone like him,” said Tszyu to Fox Sports' Ben Damon.

“I think Golovkin showed in their first fight that there is a way to beat him. I’d do to Canelo exactly what he does to other people – take the fight to him, find the shots to hurt him. Everybody can be hurt.”

With respect to Canelo's upcoming showdown, Tszyu expects Plant to do well in the first half - before Canelo makes the proper adjustments and takes over the fight.

“I think Plant is trying to psyche himself up for the fight. He might look good for a couple of rounds – boxing well – but I think Canelo will catch up with him," Tszyu said.
