Former two division world champion Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12KOs) has a lot of options to consider - and some of those options could actually happen at 154-pounds.

Many of the top welterweights, including Floyd Mayweather Jr., are advised/managed by Al Haymon, who Bradley's promoter, Top Rank, does no business with. Top Rank promotes superstar Manny Pacquiao, but Bradley already faced him twice and fans are not exactly clamoring for a trilogy fight.

At welterweight, Bradley could target IBF champion Kell Brook, or the winner of next Saturday's trilogy between Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado, or get in the ring for a second time Ruslan Provodnikov.

But Bradley is actually interested in a higher playing field, with a real desire to move up in weight for a fight with Miguel Cotto or Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

A fight with Cotto, possibly at 154.5 or 155, was loosely discussed before the WBC middleweight champion bypassed a fall ring return. If the current negotiations for Cotto-Canelo fall apart, Bradley has been mentioned as a possible backup for the Puerto Rican star.

Joel Diaz, who trains Bradley, feel confident his boxer would do very well, despite giving up size, against both Cotto and Canelo.

"I honestly think he would do good [against Cotto and Canelo]. He would match up really good, because Tim has always been the smaller guy - even in the amateurs. In the amateurs Tim fought at 152, in his last fights in the amateurs. Internationally, in the amateurs, he fought at 152-pounds," Diaz told BoxingScene.com.

"He would match really good, because I see Tim in the gym perform. When he's at 155 - Tim is really fast and strong. And then I see when he's at 152 and under, I see him decreasing on a lot of ability. So that's why at 154 I think Tim will perform very well."
