The buzz is building each day for the December 3rd rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito. Set to take place inside of Madison Square Garden, the second encounter between the two rivals boasts a solid undercard and will go down as one of the year’s biggest events.

Robert Garcia believes that Victor Ortiz, a fighter he used to train, mentally unraveled in his fight with Floyd Mayweather last Saturday, exhibiting “mental weakness” that he displayed in the amateurs and early in his professional career. Garcia also believes that Ortiz was happy when the fight was over, as evidenced by a smiling Ortiz, after he got sucker punched legally by Mayweather at the end of the fourth round.

Bill Emes catches up with trainer Robert Garcia to discuss Mayweather's win over Victor Ortiz, Nonito Donaire's upcoming fight, the Cotto vs. Margarito rematch and more.

Leonard Ellerbe, CEO for Mayweather Promotions, told BoxingScene.com not to be surprised if trainer Robert Garcia, and WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios, accompany Floyd Mayweather Jr. during his ring walk on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

As BoxingScene.com reported on Tuesday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. invited WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios, and his trainer Robert Garcia, to attend Saturday's fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather is playing up on the long-standing feud between Robert Garcia and his brother Danny Garcia, who trains Mayweather's upcoming opponent, WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz.

On Tuesday a report broke on BoxingScene.com stating that Floyd Mayweather Jr., who faces Victor Ortiz this Saturday night in Las Vegas, had reserved a pair of tickets for WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios and his trainer Robert Garcia in order for them to attend the event. A sly move by Mayweather, who knows fully well of the bad blood that exists between the camps of Rios and Ortiz.

MANILA, Philippines—AJ “Bazooka” Banal battles tough, undefeated Mexican champion Mario “Maca” Briones on the undercard of the WBO light flyweight championship between former minimumweight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes and reigning 108-pound champion Ramon Garcia Hirales also of Mexico.

In an obvious mental tactic, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has invited WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios, and his trainer Robert Garcia, to attend Saturday's fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather will challenge Victor Ortiz for the WBC welterweight crown. The bad blood between Ortiz and Rios/Garcia is well documented. Garcia used to train Ortiz before the two of them had a serious falling out. Ortiz left Robert in favor of his older brother, Danny Garcia. The Garcia brothers have barely spoken to each other in years. Ortiz and Rios, once close friends, are now mortal enemies.

As is always the case, trainer Robert Garcia currently has a lot on his plate. Working closely with such notables as WBA lightweight champion Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios, bantamweight king Nonito Donaire, former welterweight boss Antonio Margarito, and featherweight contender and younger brother Mikey Garcia, the man nicknamed ‘Grandpa’ will surely be seeing an eventful finish to his 2011 campaign with each man having a fight scheduled in the coming months.
