As BoxingScene.com reported on Tuesday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. invited WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios, and his trainer Robert Garcia, to attend Saturday's fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather is playing up on the long-standing feud between Robert Garcia and his brother Danny Garcia, who trains Mayweather's upcoming opponent, WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz.

The feud began a few years ago when Ortiz left Robert and hired his brother Danny as his new head trainer. Robert Garcia's boxer, Rios, has been involved in a long-standing feud with Ortiz.

During Wednesday's final press conference at the MGM Grand, Danny took the high road and thanked Mayweather for inviting Robert to the show.

"I want to thank Floyd for inviting my brother, Robert. I think good it's a good opportunity for me and him to start talking again. I want to thank you for inviting him. I'm happy for that," Garcia said.

Mayweather replied - "You don't have to thank me, your bother thanked me already."
