By Miguel Rivera

As soon as he received confirmation that his May 5th opponent was former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley, undefeated WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo Alvarez hit the gym in Guadalajara and plans to start his hard work on Monday. Oscar De La Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions, gave the confirmation on Friday night to Canelo's manager, Chepo Reynoso. The fight takes place on the 5th of May at the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"It will be a challenge for Canelo to knock Shane Mosley out," said De La Hoya.

At the end of this month - De La Hoya, Mosley and Alvarez will hold a press conference in Mexico City. Afterwards, Canelo will leave Mexico to begin the serious stage of his training in Big Bear, California.
