On Wednesday afternoon, lightweight prospect/contender Mickey Bey (18-0-1, 9 KO’s) could be seen going some spirited rounds with London’s Ashley Theophane (33-5-1, 10 KO’s) inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bey scored an explosive 3rd round knockout over Robert Rodriguez in early February but saw the fight changed to a no-contest after Bey's pre-fight drug tests came back with high levels of testosterone.

Bey maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal and the Nevada State Athletic Commission ruled to lessen his suspension to three months along with a $1,000 fine after hearing his side of the story, as he had documentation showing that he had advised his physician that he was not allowed to take any kind of performance-enhancing drugs.

Still upset with how the situation played out, Bey is looking to put the drama in the past as he focuses on a May 4th return on the Floyd Mayweather-Robert Guerrero Showtime pay per view undercard at the MGM Grand.

As for Theophane, this marks his second visit to the Mayweather Boxing Club and he has again been welcomed with open arms, having also sparred with former two-division champion Celestino Caballero and welterweight contender Shawn Porter in recent weeks.
