WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is backing Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) to power past Luis Ortiz in their upcoming fight.

Wilder will defend his belt against Ortiz (28-0, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn.

Parker himself has a tough challenge up ahead when he faces IBF, IBO WBA world champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) on March 31 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Parker believes will have just too much skill, speed and firepower for the dangerous Ortiz.

"My prediction is seeing Deontay Wilder coming out on top," Parker told Will Kent. "But he has to be wary because Ortiz is dangerous in the first half of the fight.

"I think it's a great fight for him [Ortiz]. He's one of the best fighters in the division and it's a big, tough challenging fight for him at the right time. But I think Wilder will just have too much and he will be the one to come out on top."

Wilder, should he win, plans to be ringside for Parker vs. Joshua. He wants to fight the winner of that contest by the end of the year.

Another fight coming up in March, is a heavyweight grudge match between Dillian Whyte and Lucas Browne at London's O2 Arena on March 24.

Whyte is the mandatory challenger to Wilder's WBC belt, while Browne is a former WBA champion who needs a quality win to get back in the mix.

Parker sees it as a very evenly matched bout that can go either way.

Parker added: "That's a harder one to pick. Their styles gel. They both like to come forward and throw bombs so I think it will be whoever lands the biggest punch first.

"I might be leaning towards Lucas Browne, but Dillian Whyte's a fighter who can cause a big upset as he's a fighter who throws big punches and combinations. It's a 50-50 fight for me."
