Marroquin vs Gonzalez The Backup Plan For Rigondeaux?

By Alfredo Jaime Gomez, notifight.com

According to rising super bantamweight prospect Oscar "Finito" Gonzalez (19-1, 13KOs), he will potentially face Roberto Marroquin (22-1, 15KOs) on the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez undercard on September 15th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Marroquin is scheduled to face WBA champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, but the Cuban boxer is currently blocked from going forward due to a legal issue with his manager Gary Hyde. Last week Rigondeaux's lawyer filed an emergency motion to lift the order which blocks him from facing Marroquin.

Rather this than see Rigo robbed by his own promoter. Arum was already up to no good before and with Rigo's contract being up and knowing he got a better offer from GBP he wouldn't hesitate to get his prospect…
