BoxingScene.com has been advised that once beaten super bantamweight prospect Roberto Marroquin (22-1, 15KOs) will now face Alejandro Lopez (23-2) on the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. versus Sergio Martinez HBO pay-per-view undercard. The event takes place next Saturday night at the Thoms & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Marroquin was originally slated to face WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux who was barred from taking the fight due to a contractual dispute with his manager.

The Texas native was then scheduled to face Oscar Gonzalez (19-1, 13KOs) of Mexico who had difficulties obtaining a visa and also had to be scratched from the fight.

Gonzalez's promoter, former champion Erik Morales said - "we really wanted Oscar to be on this great event but he was unable to get his visa in time We waited until Wednesday, but were unable to obtain it."

Lopez should be in fairly good shape as he has been training to face Takalani Ndlovu in an IBF eliminator in Johannesburg, South Africa on October 27th.

The fight is likely being fought over ten rounds with a max weight of 124-pounds.
