Main Events CEO Kathy Duva, who promotes WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (34-3-1, 29 KOs), believes her boxer's well known jab will be a real problem for upcoming opponent, Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez.

Kovalev is preparing, with trainer Buddy McGirt, at the Boxing Laboratory in Oxnard, California.

The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be streamed live on DAZN.

It's no secret - Canelo is going to target the body of Kovalev. In some of his recent fights, the dangerous puncher has been vulnerable when his opponents specifically targeted the midsection.

On the other hand, Kovalev is planning to utilize his jab in a big way - as Canelo has had issue when his opponents would properly utilize a solid jab in a fight.

Canelo, who holds the WBA middleweight title, is moving up in weight by two full divisions to challenge Kovalev at 175-pounds.

"This is one of the most intriguing fights I've ever seen, let alone made. You have a guy in Canelo who is a great body puncher, and maybe that plays into Sergey's Achille's heel, shall we say. In Sergey, you have someone with the hardest and most accurate jab in the sport. I've seen that be a problem for Canelo as well. They both have a strength that will play into the other guy's vulnerability. They're both very smart. They're both great fighters, and they both want to test themselves," Duva said.

"You don't get fights like this that often. I've been doing this for over 40 years, and you just don't get that many fights where it's just two people testing each other to find out who is best. It's wonderful."
