Is Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) beginning to move past WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs)? For the better part of the last two years, Khan has pursued a Mayweather fight.

After moving up to welterweight last year, and dominating former champion Luis Collazo and Devon Alexander, Khan started a day to day verbal campaign of pressing Mayweather for a May 2nd clash. He even signed a contract with adviser Al Haymon, who also works with Mayweather.

But last month at the WBC convention in Las Vegas, Mayweather brushed off any discussion of facing Khan - after telling reporters that Khan's name didn't carry "enough weight" for a high profile pay-per-view.

Khan took to the social networks on Wednesday and began asking fans for their thoughts on a fight with former Wild Card stablemate Manny Pacquiao, who holds the WBO welterweight title.

"Who wants to see Khan vs. Pacquiao - because I know Mayweather’s running," Khan vented to his social network followers.

Khan and Pacquiao were sparring partners and trained together under the tutelage of Freddie Roach. Khan switched to trainer Virgil Hunter in 2012.

The British star could be left out in the cold, as negotiations continue for a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao.
