After six years away from boxing, 36-year-old Sadam Ali shed a few coats of rust and went the distance with Cody Wilson at Wayne County Fieldhouse in Detroit.

Former junior middleweight titleholder Sadam Ali came in at the heaviest weight of his career on Saturday, a day before he is set to end a six-year layoff.

In last Saturday’s “Brick City Fight Night Series” in Newark, New Jersey, Khalid Twaiti, Danny Gonzalez and Kristian Prenga each triumphed in separate bouts on the undercard.

Rising super bantamweight prospect, Khalid Twaiti (13-0, 5 KOs), is hoping for a quick return to the ring after a recent win over veteran Ira Terry.

One For All Promotions and Southpaw Promotions presented an evening of boxing from the Escape Ballroom, Greenville, South Carolina, live on IFL TV. After an undercard full of emerging talent that included former amateur standout Nkosi Solomon who won by first round knockout, prior to the broadcast that featured many of Andre Rozier’s Team Havoc standouts.

In the main event, Ukrainian welterweight contender Ivan "The Volk" Golub, 146.6, of Brooklyn, NY, defended his WBC USNBC title for the first time against Manuel Alejandro Reyes, 147, of Los Angeles, CA, in a 10-round battle of southpaws. Golub focused early on the midsection, pounding away with hooks to Reyes' ribs. Reyes, who was pressing forward, made his presence felt in round two when he opened a cut above Golub's right eye with a stinging left hand.

Celebrating its 16th year, DiBella Entertainment's acclaimed Broadway Boxing series returns to Manhattan on Wednesday, April 10, at Sony Hall in Times Square. Ukrainian welterweight contender Ivan "The Volk" Golub (15-1, 12 KOs) will headline the event taking on Karim Mayfield (21-5-1, 11 KOs), in defense of his WBC USNBC title, scheduled for 10 rounds.
