Dereck Chisora has called for a world title fight on the back of his latest win.

The 35-year-old claimed the vacant WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title at the O2 Arena in London.

Chisora got the win against Liverpool’s David Price, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN Stateside, after he stepped in following the withdrawal of Joseph Parker.

And after Joe McNally, Price’s trainer, threw in the towel following a fourth-round knockdown, not only did ‘War’ shout the name of the aforementioned former WBO champion Parker, he pushed to fight for global honours.

“This was my 40th fight, I'm an old boy,” said Chisora afterwards. “I came to seek and destroy. If I catch him, he's gone.”

David Haye, Chisora’s former rival with whom he now works alongside his new trainer Steve Broughton, wants to see Chisora in a world title fight sooner rather than later.

Oleksandr Usyk recently made the step up to heavyweight from being the undisputed king down at cruiserweight and Haye is targeting the Ukrainian for his charge.

He said: "He’s mandatory for the WBO world title and Dereck’s just won a WBO trinket. It would make sense to make the fight.”

Chisora, however, stated that Price “buzzed” him and “caught him with a beautiful uppercut” before once again mentioning the name of Joseph Parker, who was ruled out with a spider bite.
