    >>> Thurman was a cherry pick...

Lets be honest here folks. He was coming off a two year hiatus due to injury and he looked like refried **** in his last fight. This isn't one of Pacquiao's better wins. It.Just.Isn't...

Thurman was a world champion and is in his prime. Most people were expecting Pac to lose based on the age difference. The Thurman that showed up on fight night would've outboxed both Porter and Garcia again.

I just realized that these threads are making me happy. I smile every time I see a new thread desperate to discredit Pac’s remarkable and for me anyway, unexpected win.

Pac haters are having a tough time of it.

He didn't cherry pick Thurman, but the consensus was that Thurman was picked because of how vulnerable he looked in his last fight.

Pacquiao watched Spence vs García live to scout. He picked Garcia to win beforehand. After that 12-0 shutout, Pacquiao saw all he needed to see.

Pac indicated that did not watch the Thurman vs Lopez which is believable.

You didn't say that before the fight. Why not?

They sure are. They were hoping for a Thurman win. Now that Pac won they have excuses or Thurman was never that good, Thurman is only 30 and he had a 12 round rust removal fight before Pacquiao. Thurman fought well and was probably as good as when he beat Porter and Garcia.

This is how I see it. Thurman is a good fighter I ranked him 3rd in the division, but his Lopez fight had me skeptical of what he could do at this point. Was he a cherry pick? Absolutely not.... he was a solid opponent for a 40 year old Pac. Though Pac did himself no favors after the Spence fight by going in the ring and talking about a fight then fighting Thurman.
