  • Military adopts new Pistol... Ditching the Berreta

Apparently the army did it first and the rest of the military is following suite: I read today that the Marines are in as well!

Tua? beercules? and our other resident firearms people, is this a good thing? I believe the Sauer is the weapon being adapted... I always thought it was going to be a glock... shows you how much I know

I love revolvers, ...found them to be reliable, a great weight, etc. I guess for some of you that is the equivalent of Black Powder rifles, lol.

    - -Def more reliable and direct percussion than gas ejection, and now have speed loaders to grease the reloading vacuum.

I’m new to the firearm club but I feel sig sauer is more reputable than beretta. Beretta seems more old school. I’ve always read glock was the most popular/reliable.
I could be wrong, like I said I’m new.

M9 has a strong trigger pull. Good pistol but there are better out there.

I tried but it ran away too fast for me to aim properly.

Didn't they use a .45 automatic for a long time, like WW2, Korea era? I'd probably go revolver if I carried, since I'm a total gun novice.

I served in a Marine Detachment (Security Forces) in the 80's. We were issued the Colt 1911.
