Brook just couldn't take anymore pressure from the body work, am not going to take that eye as a reason or excuse. He got dismantled to the body period.

He quit, because he didnt want to get knocked out in front of his hometown
He tried to play the eye crap again for a bit of sympathy, but it's backfired
He was beaten into submission, this is what happens when you fight 30 plus bums for most of the career
Brook was never a hardened war tested warrior

Brook has said on more than one occasion he ruined GGG? I think we understand its GGG who ruined Brook but has not boasted about ruining Brooks career.
Spence wouild have lost to brook if Brook didnt jump up 2 divisions and got a busted eye and came back down. Spence is good but it was a cherry pick for Spence.

... "Spence (21-0, 18 KOs) is Brook’s mandatory after he dismantled and stopped Leonard Bundu in six rounds on Aug. 21, nearly knocking him through the ropes in Coney Island. Spence called out Brook afterward, asking him to drop out of his scheduled match with Golovkin and fight him instead."

His corner knew he was spent and the tape job on the glove was in purpose. Spence was relentless and broke Brook, doesn't matter if he had a hurt eye or not, he was beaten into submission.
He said he could not see out of the eye! What more do you want? Do you want him to lose his sight like countless other fighters?
