imo if ggg cant hurt canelo early then is going to be a long night for ggg... but we will find out in a few days...

Being over trained is one factor that seems to be overlooked for this fight.
I seen an interview of him on that ESPN show 'golpe a golpe' he said this fight he trained for the knockout. They told him that it was uncharacteristic of him to speak of a knockout before a fight but he said that for this particular fight that was the game plan.

LOL @ people thinking Canelo is going to get into a street fight with Golovkin.

          He's smarter than that.

GGG: "2nd Half Against Canelo Will Be 'Crazy, Like Street Fight'"

This means that GGG is looking to KO Canelo inside 6, instead...

Golovkin threw 615 punches vs Jacobs (Jacobs 541).

              Leonard/Hagler: Leonard 629, Hagler 792

              Saunders/Akavov: Saunders 579, Akavov 624
(just throwing this one in so as to not be picking ATGs like Hagler/Leonard again)

Canelo vs Lara: Canelo threw 415......

              No wonder he didn't gas.

Other way around, Golovkin's smarter than that ! Canelo's wheelhouse is up-close where his hand speed and combos could cause Golovkin real problems. Golovkin's advantage is half a step back from Canelo's wheelhouse, and he'll try command that distance with his jab for at least the first 6.

He'll only move into Canelo's wheelhouse if he feels Canelo is weakening for any reason, be it tiredness or damage. Golovkin will be planning to keep Canelo under pressure at all times so he doesn't get any breaks, then see how Canelo is after 6 or 7 rounds without his customary rests and the extra weight.

Canelo has to get inside the jab so that he can exchange. Dangerous territory but Golovkin's power comes from accumulation not single punches, and if Canelo can out-land him in close, he can match Golovkin's damage output.

He might not have any choice. He doesn't have the movement to be able to avoid it. Now maybe he got Apollo over there training him but I doubt it. The pace of this fight will be set by Golovkin I believe. Jacobs was able to neutralize it, one because I think Golovkin had legit concerns about his power and two because he could move. I don't think Canelo has either of those tools, or at least enough of them.

That was an awful fight to watch. Canelo looked clueless on cutting the ring off that night too. That was the night I saw how limited he was. Lara has tried and failed to do that with others.
