Comments Thread For: GGG: 2nd Half Against Canelo Will Be 'Crazy, Like Street Fight'

No the fans are talking that up (like me) but G and his team know better than to bank on Canelo getting tired. I think that's what's going to happen because of Canelo's natural tendency to tire out, punishing body shots from G, and the mental pressure from G stalking him.Comment

If Canelo is effective against GGG's jab and is either getting the better of the action or just even then Golovkin knows a close fight likely doesn't favor him. He will then ratchet up the pressure, pedal to the metal, and we should have a battle.
I do not think this will be a strategic fight like against Jacobs. I don't think Golovkin has the same concern about Canelo's power he had in that fight. These two will be in front of each other.
As a Golovkin fan I hope he doesn't wait 5 rounds in before he pushes on the gas if the jab isn't highly effective. I hope by round 3 he has determined if he needs to go with heavy pressure.Comment

2. You talk about critical thinking in the same post where you suggest Canelo will TKO a full fledged MW when he hasn't tko'd any suitable opponent in years.
3. Canelo does not look fresh coming down the stretch of fights, which is why he has issues finishing guys. This isn't hard to see.
The only fan boy in this thread is you. I get that you have pride in your guy, but his only hope on Saturday will be a controversial decision. I don't think he'll make it that far, but we'll see. If I'm wrong, oh well.Comment

Canelo bulking up to 1. help him better absorb Gennady's punching power, and/or 2. help him get a knockout.
This might backfire because GGG can punch and can also take a punch. He's been fighting legit 160 pounders his entire career, Canelo couldn't take down, let alone knock down a drained Chavez Jr. at 164.5.
Also, Canelo bulking up might equate to a lack of stamina. He's been talking about training for a knockout, but he's never faced a puncher like Golovkin who knows how to cut the ring and has power behind every punch.
I think Canelo is going to get stopped quite honestly. Golovkin's pressure will be too much for him. Even if he tries to box and counterpunch he'll eventually tire out and be left vulnerable to the onslaught of GGG.Comment
