I was working in the bar tonight and a few people came in. They seemed the lairy type, you know the kind I mean, almost as if they want to act hard with every single word. Anyway, after a while they asked me to call them a taxi. We get a phone call an hour or so later from the cab firm saying that once they reached their destination, they beat up the cabbie, stole his money and even the watch he was wearing.

People do over-romantasize the past a lot. There was a lot of ****ty people back then too. But I do see what happened tonight and the stuff you see on the news all the time as being a modern thing. Society has gone to **** and there is a whole class of people who are mostly just worthless scum.

I'm not sure what the primary cause is or what the solution might be, but things really could do with sorting out in the country, and the world in general really.

The era of Hurricane Clyde has now passed, so I'm more or less done with the pub. This kind of **** gets on my nerves. On their own the bar rowdies keep reasonably cool. It's when they've got women with them to impress that the belligerence kicks in.

Yeah, 95% of the pricks only grow a pair when they're in a group. You have to be such a **** to do that to someone.

I'm not much of a pub person as socialising with strangers just isn't my thing. Whatever jobs I've had in the past, I prefer to just STFU and hope everyone else does the same. Actually the least talkative girl I work with is also the most attractive so I do start convos with her sometimes lol. But apart from that I'm fine without the mindless, repetitive chit-chat that a lot of people seem to like.

I do prefer the taste of lager and cider from the bar rather than from a bottle or a can. But the prices pubs charge these days is ridiculous so it's not really worth it.

The bar phase is dead after a certain age. In younger days it's cool just because you can get in. And of course there's the lure of the women. But the novelty wears off over time. I go on nights there's a special of some kind. I enjoy drinking one on one or even solo way more than with groups, even if it's people I do know. On occasions, it's great. But just for the hell of it? I'll pass.

Bar fights are rubbish anyway. Not like in the movies where everyone just forms a circle and watches it. They hit the ground quickly and get broken up quickly, sometimes by patrons rather than the actual bouncers. Can't prove a damn thing in a bar brawl. You just look stupid and possibly get arrested.
