Yeah and they don't want the pipeline running through it. I don't blame them..

Closing down the pipeline isn’t as big a deal as the Trump guys make it.

Trump only went with it because Obama didn’t. He didn’t weigh any of the potential hazards or costs, not to mention the pipeline would go through sacred ground that Obama did when making the initial decision.

No one owns the land. It is naturally under the care of the wind and the stars and the spirits that watch over the prairies.

Well that isn't something that comes natural to Trump. The real economy killer is the entire green agenda. Wouldn't be such a big deal if it was applied and adhered to globally but without China's compliance it works against the USA and works for China.

Govt can always claim eminent domain

            Unconstitutional imo

I get your point but since when does the US base it’s decisions to make things better based on what the Chinese do?

There are issues with the green New Deal for sure. But trying to clean up the environment and stop climate change is necessary whether the Chinese participate or not.

And is it really an economy killer? Everything I read indicates long term there will be many jobs in green/clean energy.

I get that shifting from oil/coal to other sources of energy isn’t popular in states heavily reliant on them. But shouldn’t we pursue what is best for the country?

Since they are going to be pulling that oil out and transporting it anyway. I bought some stock in the Canadian National Railway. Why not?

Those days are gone with the wind.

The native Americans are trying to play by the white man's rules now. But of course the white man will ignore his own rules and will move the goalposts when it's to his benefit.

That's why it was said that he spoke with a forked tongue. Seems that hasn't changed.
