I'm a Marine Veteran. I didn't have the grades for the university and didn't want to go to Jr college. But I had options. I took the ASVAB and scored quite high. The USMC offered me a contract with included a meritorious promotion and a hard to get specialty field if I passed the schools. I was on the PRP and had a security clearance. When I got out several good job offers from the Government based on my field and clearance.

Yesterday I stayed at home. I don't need your pat on the back nor do I want it. I don't want the freebies they hand out to veterans. The only calls I took were from my brothers I served with and their families.
