They aren't as rare as they're made out to be and depreciates in value faster than cars.

I would add many clothing and sports apparel brands as well. Nike, North Face, Patagonia, etc., these brands are made in sweatshops in Southeast Asia for next to nothing, yet when they moved production overseas, the price never went down, in actually went up. It probably costs Nike $20 to make a pair of sneakers they sell for $100. That includes manufacturing, advertising, shipping. Their wholesalers get an bigger chunk.
