It is like saying that an electrician who replies to a job ad has answered a 'casting call'.

It is a stupid thing to say, and the only reason to say it is to mislead people.
You're using semantics, yes she absolutely answered a casting call, you can call it a nomination, recruitment, or whatever you like. The fact remains, is that the Justice Democrats were looking to CAST someone as their front politician, and AOC brother sent in her resume, she wasn't even looking to run for office! She was called up, had an interview, and was CAST. This video confirms as much.

Snopes did not admit that the party who recruited her wrote her script and arrange her talking points. The article explicitly rejected this.

They found the claim to be false because it was - and they established this fairly, clearly and unambiguously.
Yeah thats already inferred seeing as how AOC answered a casting call, they had her script ready to go.

LOL...she took a shot in the dark at answering a call for Congresswoman and thought...duhh well if I can get that job let's double down and run for President now...sure beats my old job as waitress.

Semantics is just about the meaning of words. Yes, I am using the meaning of words.

If you aren't using semantics, then what you say is essentially meaningless.

However, this isn't about semantics. There is no dispute about what the meaning of 'casting call' is. It is a term used for models or actors.

Using it to refer to AOC's recruitment is not playing with semantics. It is an attempt to deceive.

Putting the word 'cast' in capitals doesn't make it the correct word to use.

That video goes into the recruitment process, how AOC came to the attention and was approached. It's fairly standard for that kind of recruitment to happen in any number of places.

There is nothing in that video which suggests that AOC is an actor or model, or that it was a casting call, or that it was noticably different from other types of recruitment in any other organisation.

She didn't answer a casting call. Any further inference is just nonsensical.

Let me ask you this: when you see SJWs saying silly things, do you think it helps their cause?

When you saw Hillary fanatics say silly things, do you think it helped their cause?

When you see people who hate Trump say silly things, do you think it helps their cause?

The Iron Law of Institutions may help explain this behaviour. But it probably pays for anyone who cares about causes to take a step back and consider 'am I helping or hurting'.

Calling AOC's recruitment a casting call is silliness. So what is important to you?
