When was America Great

So... if it has always been great since the very beginning, then how exactly does 'make it great again' make any sense? You can't restore something that hasn't been lost.
The guy is smart enough to see when he is being asked a leading question, but not smart enough to see his own inconsistencies. This is one of the psychological blindesses that being a partisan imposes on its victims.
You see the thing about Trump was that he was successful in making people feel like victims. 'MAGA' is all about telling people that they are victims, and that Trump will make it all good again. Even though, as we can see, this narrative doesn't hold up all that well.
'MAGA' is actually an insult. It says that the USA stopped being great. What kind of an idiot would actually vote for a president who insults his own country? I suppose it is the kind of person who thinks they are a patriot whilst clearly being a traitor, someone who thinks that you can be in the land of the free while having the highest incarceration rates in the entire world.

There are different ways to define greatness. No human or group of humans has ever been truly great.

Hopefully, the future will allow for better alternatives

America was great after its founding. Once Europe, Japan retooled after ww2, then our way of life was threatened. We got complacent, and this is one of the many things that hurts us.
We’ve been the worlds police, and that gets expensive. I could go on and on about good and bad policies.
America is still great. We need to get back to the basics of hard work, innovation, and determination. We need more engineers and scientists.
