I think thats what they are doing out here in Vegas more or less. They got some giant ass encampment area thats open air for the homeless now. Can even show up drunk & they are cool with letting you in.

You still see a ton of mfers sleeping outside of the Del Taco or at the front door of some random building or the far end of some casino hotel, but it appears they are fewer the more we move into the future.

They are encouraging people not to give them money anymore cuz you just ensure its harder to get them off the bigger beaten down paths by doing so. And they do more with less money since they can buy in bulk at the shelters & soup kitchens here.

But they still need to handle the mental illness/drug abuse/addiction angles to this homeless thing cuz there is a sh^tton of that going on here.

I seen some TED talk awhile back that seemed like a great idea. Believe it was done by the Seattle mayor or some f#cking mayor on the west coast like that. And all he does is have a guy go out every morning to ask these guys with signs about work & homeless in general if they wanna work. They put the guys who do in there truck & they do jobs for the next 8 or w/e hours. They pay the homeless people in cash & drop them off at a shelter for a meal & a bed.

Seems like a method thats +EV for all parties there.

There's definitely more things cities could be putting into use besides just having these mfers outside looking like dying zombies & sh^t. Some of these mfers in Vegas look like they've been out here forever. This one cat I saw was lying down on a fairly popular street corner under a tree. Very strong piss smell & dudes feet were out in the open air & looked F#CKED UP with damage all over them. Idk that that mfer could even legit walk with all his feet problems. I'd certainly bet against him doing it very well. That sh^t is just sad when we are letting our fellow human brothers & sisters get to a point of injury & deterioration thats gross to see & you know this cat with problems he probably doesn't even fully grasp that he's not as up on how off this sh^t is right now like most cats would be or the government should be.

Obviously this country is out of ideas on how to fix anything, not just the homeless.

I don't buy that in the slightest. The thing is "the country" that I can only assume means the aforementioned R's & D's so could be said instead "the government" isn't very good at solving problems in the first place so why would we ask them to fix this one of anyone.

More often then not you just let people do what they do, within reason, & they'll figure out the problems & solutions. We are quite good at it actually. There are inventions being created all the time.

But the politician types usually aren't the types who excel in it.

Most drug & booze lovers I've come across are 1000% functional users. In fact they'd likely never eff up their job due to not be able to buy those drugs & booze & keep it moving lol.

The last thing those types want is things to get a lil roughter to bring down the level of drugs & booze being purchased & used daily, weekly and monthly.

I'm sure some fall off from time to time, but I bet thats a rare problem for those types.

unfortunately, most of those not near you are the epitome of gutter addict. had a clean life and threw it away for some recreational good times. end up spending what life they have left chasing that good time.
