I wouldn't say movies like Dr Stangelove, Pulp Fiction, and Fight Club can be considered cult classics since every freakin' body has seen them and they have always been well liked.


I think a cult classic should be regarded for something like Repo Man.

imho, cult movies should be hard to almost impossible to categorize, yet be entertaining on a ''freaky'' level and not marketed for the masses (made next to no money when it was released).

the freakier a movie is, the more people will want to see what all the fuss is about....(ie pink flamingo, sado and caligula)
