Tarrifs were used to help the EU after WW2. So they could get back on their feet, to aid them. Its just always gone on and on. Its time to make things even again.

Yes, they were used to protect their industries. Tariffs are protectionism, not to punish other countries like Donald is saying. Of course in a perfect world there would be no tariffs. But lobbyist pay a lot of money to the govt to protect their industries.

The trade war Donald started is stupid and it was reactionary. If he wants to negotiate tariffs he's got to actually get serious about this and listen to his experts and put the work in it takes to get a deal done. This isn't some real estate deal in new york. This is a global economy.. It's going to take a lot of work.

They actually agree with me because Trump has backed off on his promise of more tariffs and agreed to go back to the negotiating table. This is the statement they put out.

It's Trump causing an unnecessary problem, getting backed into a corner and trying to wiggle his way out of the problem he caused and declaring he's fixing the problem that wouldn't have existed if not for him. When the actual problem is he's ignoring the experts and he doesn't understand trade

Then he claims everybody is taking advantage of us but what he's actually doing is projecting. That's the way he's done business. He takes advantage of people in the "deals" he makes. That's why he's filed for bankruptcy so many times and can't even get a loan from an American Bank. Hell, I can get a loan from an American bank and the President of The United States can't. He doesn't understand that every deal doesn't have to have a winner and a loser. That's the way he looks at deals. He thinks one side got over on the other because he makes deals by trying to get over on the other person.

Trump is the stereotypical carnival barking New York City con man who pulled a fast one over on you middle Americans. If you were casting a movie about a New York City con man you'd pattern the character after Trump. They don't call him Don the Con for nothing. Ask Mooshashi, he grew up there.

Nobody wins in a trade war. Certainly Trumps "base" of blue collar workers will feel the heat through layoffs in unprofitable businesses and higher prices for consumer goods. But he will blame Obama, Hillary or Comey and they will believe him.

There NOT ONE reputable economist that supports the tariffs. But....lets see how it all works out.

Cmon, lets say you're going to buy a new truck 60k lets say. They say nope we want 65k and you say sorry no deal. They call and call and say we can still do that deal for 65k. You say nope! Then they call at the end of the month and say cmon down we need a sale.
