but that's because most people that vote republican and aren't wealthy, vote against their own interest.
Whether it be for fiscal reasons
or social issues, republicans are far behind.
While I never agree with DICK Morris, he was dead on in what he said on O'Reilly last night and that was that the election in 08' was not a one time thing, it was a trend.
The country has changed, it's not just conservative, white male anymore. People aren't swinging to the right, they are becoming more moderate and liberal in their thinking.
Why? When the majority of the country doesn't want war, yet you ask those people and they are ready to bomb Iran tomorrow.
You talk about clueless, I can't find more clueless people than people who support the tea party.
Even after the election is over, you still can't bring yourself to have a normal, adult conversation about politics. Sad really.

I don't even think he'll end up getting much support from the Latino community because he's Cuban, and there's a vast disconnect between Cubans, and Mexicans, who easily make up the largest percentage of Latino voters in the United States.
On topic : The Rpublican party needs to re-evaluate itself and move more towards the center. They've allowed a fringe group of extremists to hijack their party and continuing to pander towards that very vocal but numerically insignificant minority of the voting block has been costing them dearly the past few years.
Moderate Republicans feel as if their party has abandoned them.
Cubans and Mexicans don't really funk with one another. Sure, there are a few, but the majority don't.
I have a few family members who reside in FL. They tell me Cubans don't like Mexicans much. That Cubans try to be/act too white. Just because Rubio is Hispanic, that doesn't mean he will get the Hispanic vote. Hispanics usually side with Democrats... And I'm one of them.
Viva Obama!

On top of that Im supporting my wife, son, and my dad. All on my income alone. Its bull****. I cant get medical for my son. You know what those idiots at welfare told me, take my mom in and then maybe they can help me. You know what that is? Taking away the fighting spirit of an individual. I ****ing hate how expensive healthcare is but bamacare is only raising rates. I had a major hand injury at work my surgeon complains abot it al the time. My uncles a doctor he says the same damn thing. Bamacare doesnt work. Yes we need to bring the greedy insurance providers to their knees and make them compete for our business not the other way around but obama does not work. ANd by the way I voted for that loser in 08 and hes done ****all, hes continued all of bushs policies that I hated, war with the middle east, continued occupation of afganistan, drone attacks with colateral damage instead of torture? More dumb**** stimulus. He takes his orders from banks the same as Bush did. Hes a horrible president and Im not rich you *******.

You might want to explain this position.
Behind what?
The same (Bill Clinton) Dick Morris that predicted a Romney landslide victory?
I find it disgusting that you always make everything about race.
I don't know anyone that wants to bomb Iran tomorrow, including myself.
Funny how all of your political posts contain attacks on Bush, Republicans, the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Sarah Palin, etc, but never an admission of your party's culpability in the mess we're in.

Because economically, while foxnews has brainwashed Americans into thinking that Obama is a Socialist and a Muslim, the truth is he's far, far from that. He is a Democratic president that basically wants to return to the fiscal policies of Clinton, that's it.
But yeah, with all that said, id rather have clinton in office than obama. Obama just....doesnt know wtf he is doing.

Bush ruined this economy, now I know people will say that's a tired song but it's 100% true. Not because I say so, but because of the countless economists that predicted it would take a DECADE to fix what Bush did. He started 2 wars, doubled the deficit, de-regulated Wall Street which caused the mortgage bubble and was losing over 100 jobs a month in
Obama or McCain was going to have to take a giant bite of a **** sandwich. Every economists I read said the bailout was absolutely necessary to stop the bleeding, Bush passed the first stimulus by the way...
So while there are people who want "free stuff". That's not the majority of people who voted for Obama, that's simply a lie. The truth is (and the point of this thread) is that the country is moving more towards a progressive mindset, gone are the days of conservative thinking where people are excluded from politics and decision making in this country.
Look at the difference in the Republican convention and the democratic one. The democrats where diverse, the republicans was a sea of white people, sorry but that's not America any longer.
Republicans as we knew them might be at and end, because they lost every demographic except for old white people. That's not a good sign for them and they need to be inclusive in order to turn things around.
Everyone wants to work, everyone wants a better economy and nobody wants to pay for others to live free. What we do want is people who don't have because of who and where they were born, to have an equal chance.
All of the major cities, most populated areas, more college educated areas were blue. The rural, country, suburban areas were almost all red. Don't tell me who is stupid and who isn't....There's a ton of ignorant, dumb Americans that vote white and republican because it's what they are supposed to do.

On one hand you say we need to stop the insurance companies from controlling our healthcare, I agree. Then you condemn what Obama has tried to do by changing that. I see this much to often, complaints but no answers. We need to do something because as it is, without Obamacare, we are going broke because of it and over 30 million are without it.
Obama raises the prices of every instrument and every procedure. All Obama care did was not allow service to be denied which is good but he didnt do anything to cap prices. Now that they have to do every procedure they just raise the prices of everything dramatically. Ask your family practice doctor his or her opinion of it. It wont be good.

He just created policies at the right time. He also made some important legislature changes to things such as the community reinvestment act, which helped get us jnto our current position. The market was inflated, and it finally popped. To blame it all on bush is misinformed and political b.s.. also, lets not forget that the mariet had already been showing signs of growth for 4 straight quarters before clinton even took office.

Aside from your bush rant, which i largely disagree with (shoveling all the blame on him), by and large i agree with your rant against the republican party. They do alienate too many people, and as i suggested they are gonna have to bend on their social values if they want black/latino/gay/etc votes. As far as fiscally tho, conservatism>liberalism.

Funny how you point fingers at everyone else and you don't look in the mirror.
I guess if you are conservative you are right, if you vote for Obama you just want "free stuff" like your hero O'Reilly said on election night.
Tax breaks for the rich,
oil companies,
people making over 250K a year,
fend for yourself heathcare policies,
defunding planned parenthood which contrary to popular belief isn't all about free abortions for everyone.
Immigration,
women's rights,
abortion
So now I can't mention race at all without being racist? Yea I'm sure you are so offended..Yup let's ignore the obvious, that will solve it.
most American's don't know where those places are on a map.
Then your not reading my posts. I also don't have a party, registered independent.
Yea because you are the voice of reason around here.

So conservatives are individuals and some say stupid things but liberals push race to divide people and can't seem to get anything right....hahaha
Hypocritical anyone?
It's ok man, I know your still angry Obama won. He will be gone in 4 years and then you will have to deal with Hilary as president.
Perception is the truth unfortunately and until the republicans can reform and quiet the extremist minorities, your party is in serious trouble.
Calling the president a Socialist, Muslim Kenyan that wasn't born in America didn't work for 4 years. Time to think up a new strategy.
