Killer Elite: 3/10 a real disappointment in my opinion. The action was occasionally thrilling but Statham being Statham is sometimes good (Transporter films/Bank Job/The Expendables/Snatch) but in a would be more complex plot he comes of as rather wooden imo.The movie also just dragged and dragged not to mention wasted performances by De Niro and to an extent Clive Owen. PS the unneeded Love angle was well unneeded.

13 Assassins: 10/10 a one of a kind Samurai Masterpiece from the Legendary Takeshi Kitano which pays equal tributes to Akira Kurosawa "Seven Samurai" as it does for other legendary Japanese epics with the trademark Kitano style which is bizarre, brutal, and at times humorous in a good way. The final 40 minutes or so are an amazing display of action and style as long as you forget the cgi burning raging bulls.
